Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, speaking in parliament, addressed accusations of allegedly holding a “pro-Turkish” and “pro-Azerbaijani” position.

“These people say they are not against peace. They have never been against peace; they simply discussed it thousands of kilometers away from the region — in Moscow, Brussels, Key West, and so on. Let me repeat: yes, we have long-term and guaranteed peace with Australia. But peace is peace when you have it in your own region. How do you imagine achieving peace by seeking it outside the region? That is war. We had the courage to go and start talking,” he said.

According to Pashinyan, claims about the existence of hidden agreements do not correspond to reality. He stressed that Armenia does have agreements that are “already signed, initialed, and some have even been ratified.”

“I have never had and do not have any agreements other than those that have been publicly announced. That is the whole point — all agreements have been reached and published,” the prime minister noted.
