Russia highlights need for Azerbaijani language studies

Russia has expressed the need to expand the study of the Azerbaijani language.

Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk noted that Moscow is ready to support such efforts. He also emphasized interest in strengthening cooperation between universities and said that the creation of a joint university involving St. Petersburg State University is under discussion.

In addition, Azerbaijan has been invited to consider joining the International Organization for the Russian Language.
