The newspaper reports that the Iranian government, who declared the security of Armenia its top priority, makes plans to turn Karabakh into Syria. Tehran’s agenda is to transport 4,000 IRGC and Shiite militias to Karabakh by May 2023. To this end, Esmael Qaani, commander of IRGC’s Quds Force, visited Iraq and Syria last February. The Iranian general instructed the commanders of Shiite groups such as Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, Al-Nusseba Movement and Hezbollah to train 4,000 elite fighters in hot spots to create trained and combat-experienced special forces.
The PKK is also part of this plan: Iran plans to send to Karabakh Yezidi Kurds living in Western Azerbaijan, Iraq and Syria.
