Crowds of activists trashed America and robbed stores in the summer of 2020. We all remember those pictures, and BLM ideologues even came up with a special term for these mass robberies: not a robbery but “looting”, a form of protest against the oppression of the black race.
But while the “oppressed”, overwhelmed by the windfall of good fortune, hauled boxes of goods from the ransacked stores, their leaders were handling quite different amounts of money. Hundreds of millions of dollars passed through various hastily established BLM support funds over this time. And where they went is now for the investigation to find out.
Some of this has already been released to the press, which suggests that there will be many startling insights into the lives of these extraordinary people, American champions of anti-racism waging an uncompromising and, as it turns out, highly profitable war on the oppression of black people in the United States.
Approximately $60 million of BLM funds are being spent in violation of US laws, says the preliminary conclusion of prosecutors in California and Washington. Simply put, the uncompromising fighters are spending it on themselves. Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Khan-Cullors spent more than $1.4 million last month on a swanky house in Los Angeles, with a swimming pool and other nice trappings of comfortable living.
But she has a small child who needs fresh air, so she also bought a ranch featuring a runway and a hangar for small airplanes in addition to the huge house. Because, obviously, she can’t have other activists visit and not have a place to land and park their planes.
Everything is expensive, everything is obnoxiously luxurious, even though, according to the official statement of the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, its executive Patrisse Khan-Cullors does not get a cent from it for her struggle for the rights of black people, and is a volunteer who is not even paid to travel around America. She lives, they say, only for the idea, and apparently the idea is what feeds her too. Sure, she has real estate, no use denying the obvious, but her detractors exaggerate a lot. And anyway, the investigation into her spending is a right-wing racist offensive, a moral terror of white supremacists against black activists.
And here we have the folks at the Minnesota Freedom Fund. Of the $35 million raised to support the protesters, $200,000 was spent for the intended purpose. No one at the nonprofit can give a coherent explanation as to where the remaining $34,800,000 went. They mumble that they were going to spend more to support the protests, but could not manage the large inflow of money.
So, they couldn’t manage the transfers, but they did get the money, there is no money in the fund’s accounts, which must also be a “racist conspiracy”. Well, conspiracy or not, BLM activists have successfully monetized the protest activity and are now living happily ever after, having skimmed the cream off the donated milk.

However, not all of them will be lucky enough to continue to enjoy the fruits of the protests. There is a fierce intraspecies struggle going on within the BLM: money has become much scarcer, and now they need to cut off extra people from the cash flows and their distribution. People like Patrisse Khan-Cullors and the Minnesota Freedom Fund activists who went off the rails with greed will be punished, with huge fines and jail time. Those who held back at the right time and cautiously withdrew their profits will escape punishment and keep their jobs.
Because BLM is still needed. Now this movement is actively monopolizing the “fight against racism,” which is incidentally what the Whoopi Goldberg scandal is about. Whoopi recently said that the Holocaust “is not about race, it’s about man’s inhumanity to man”, meaning since the Nazis were white and the Jews were white, it was violence of while people against other white people, so don’t try to bring racism into it, that’s different, only the BLM has the right to talk about it.
This is not an attempt to shock the public, nor is it an indication of the idiocy to which the American left has driven the issue. It is a business, with strict business laws: monopolize the field and make a handsome profit on it. Any departure from the idea that black people in the United States have been the main victims of racism throughout world history is detrimental to this lucrative business. That is why it must be nipped in the bud, so that BLM leaders can continue to buy real estate and maintain a luxurious lifestyle in peace. After all, behind every political movement are someone’s tangible financial interests.
