41 families in total are expected to be relocated, in four stages, with 10 families moving here in the first stage. All necessary conditions will be created for about 200 resettlers in the village of Agaly, Vahid Hajiyev, Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in Zangilan District of the East Zangezur economic region, said to journalists at the send-off ceremony for the resettlers on Tuesday.
According to Hajiyev, the entire process of relocation to Agaly is under the personal control of the head of the Azerbaijani state. The citizens will live there in high-quality houses equipped with smart technologies.
The issues of employment, social, education and healthcare issues of the resettlers will be addressed by relevant agencies. As of today, there are 1,457 residents of the village of Agaly. Of these, 1,357 have expressed a desire to return to the village, Hajiyev said.
