Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on his birthday and expressed confidence that relations between the two countries will continue to develop in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance, according to the Kremlin’s website.
“Under your leadership, Azerbaijan has achieved widely recognized successes in the social and economic spheres and is consistently strengthening its position on the international stage,” the Russian president said in his congratulatory message.
“Relations between our countries are based on long-standing traditions of friendship, good-neighborliness, and mutual respect. I am confident that these relations will continue to develop in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance, which undoubtedly serves the interests of the Russian and Azerbaijani peoples,” Putin noted.
Putin wished Ilham Aliyev health, well-being, and continued success.
