In a significant recognition of his contributions to neurology, our compatriot, Prof. Messoud Ashina, PhD, MD, has been inducted as one of the new members of the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters for 2024.
Professor Ashina, who is affiliated with Rigshospitalet and the University of Copenhagen, specializes in neurology. His work has earned him a place among the esteemed 18 new members of the academy this year, highlighting his impact on scientific research and interdisciplinary collaboration in Denmark. This prestigious membership underscores Professor Ashina’s dedication to advancing the field of neurology.
It should be noted that world-renowned doctor and scientist is a laureate of the “Heydar Aliyev 100th Anniversary (1923–2023)” jubilee medal, has been awarded the medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan for “Service in Diaspora Activities,” and has been included in the Board of Trustees of the “YAŞAT” Fund by the decree of President Ilham Aliyev.
