Whenever an opportunity presents itself, they immediately start their lectures, teaching everyone the art of careful handling of history and civilization. This is done not only by their scientists and specialists who sign off on their “unique discoveries”, but also by drivers of Moscow taxis, mechanics of Sochi heating plants, Tbilisi shoemakers, and employees of foreign universities—the best natural promoters of the stolen “Hay heritage”.
The new surge of Armenian history lectures was triggered by the statements of Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova, who in one of her recent comments referred to Armenia as an ancient civilization with a centuries-old history, which apparently somehow sets it apart, in a good way, from the culture of the European Union.
Foreigners’ thoughts on this subject, voiced out loud, are always a balm to Armenians’ hearts, because the Hays have long and firmly believed that the entire world civilization originated from Armenians. If Jesus Christ and Johann Sebastian Bach are recognized as Armenians, what is there to say? All the world’s heritage bears the Hay stamp, and we should accept it.
There is no point in digging into the cause-and-effect motives behind the statements of the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson. She voiced her views and changed the subject. But it is not in the Armenian tradition to leave the most important topic midway. How can there be no discussions and reflections if we are talking about the Armenian civilization! Especially nowadays, when the issue of integration of the Hays into the Western Pole has turned Armenians’ heads. It is time not only to interpret, but also to make new discoveries.
Armenia’s honeymoon with the Western community is a hot topic. In order not to overlook this important issue, heartwarming historical details and exhortations came pouring from Irevan.
On the honor roll of the great civilizations, the Hay civilization ranks first, and there can be no doubt about it. Mentors insistently remind that the European Union is a conglomerate of cultures, with a number of worthy ones that have traveled glorious historical paths. People in Armenia, a country of great people and prodigies, know firsthand how important it is to be proud of and promote one’s ancient origins. For credibility, they refer, attention (!), to the heritage of Urartu, “Greater Armenia”, Cilicia.
Reputable scientists, renowned scholars of famous universities and research centers proved conclusively long ago that the Hays had nothing to do with the above-mentioned entities (except for “Greater Armenia”). They simply appropriate the heritage of Urartu and Cilicia without citing scientific evidence, but this does not make the ancient states Armenian.
As for “Greater Armenia”, there are no historical evidences, maps or confirmations of its existence in the historical records. There are only myths, fantasies and fictitious evidence, or rather, false testimonies and falsifications.
As the authenticity of the history of civilizations that existed on the territory of the Old Continent has been proved, Armenians attach themselves to them, as if there were connections between them in ancient times. In this sensitive topic, the frauds have become adept at using invented facts as proof. They refer not to well-known and competent researchers, but only to their own, i.e. their pseudoscientists. Thus, a “discoverer” reports the incredibly valuable interview of one of his tribesmen, in which he proves the facts of the presence of connections of “ancient Hays” with contemporaries from Greece and Rome.
We are talking about the interview with sociology professor Georgi Derlugian, who was incredibly lucky to acquire at an international auction a coin, an ancient Roman denarius (!) from the time of Emperor Marcus Aurelius (64 A.D.). The coin, it turns out, has two words “Imperator Armeniacus” engraved on it, which means “Armenian Emperor”.
And if the emperor is Armenian, it means that the empire is Armenian, doesn’t it? The interviewee, who introduces himself as a sociology professor, is a professor at an American university in the UAE, and there is no reason to say that he stands out for his unique contributions to the scientific community. He is a classic loudmouth with demagogic tendencies. His tribesmen are very intensively promoting him on the Internet. However, one cannot say that he has a large audience. In his publications and comments, he looks more like a middle-aged political scientist than an established scholar. Compilation and rambling are his signature features. But that is not the intrigue.
By attaching themselves to the ranks of scientists, such gray researchers contaminate the scientific environment, flooding it with destructive and malicious content. By the way, Armenian science has strong tendencies to do this, brazenly pushing evidence-free “discoveries and findings” onto serious researchers.
By abundantly throwing fake evidence into the scientific environment, Armenian “scientists” only complicate the work of decent specialists. The latter then have to spend a lot of time and effort on scientific disinfection, ridding the delicate environment of monstrous and foul-smelling falsifications. With their shameful shuffling in the field of important and serious research, Armenians, regardless of who and what center they represent, do nothing but drag other people’s history, other people’s wealth into the polluted Armenian bosom.
If we talk about the history of Armenia, it is only two centuries old. Yes, no one denies that they lived in different areas at different times. Even the name of the nation is dual, which is a rare case. Living in the ancient state of Arminia, in the very state that surrendered to the ancient Persian king Darius I, they called themselves Armenians. But among themselves they call themselves Hay.
Due to the peculiarities of their national character, it has always been difficult for them to live within the boundaries of other cultures and subcultures. Their propensity for falsity and double-dealing, their unreliability and resistance to progressive ideas have always brought upon them the ill-will of the titular communities. They pompously claim that in the past their country, “being Middle Eastern and Caucasian”, was integrated into the then European political structures. They cite hollow and unsupportable evidence as proof. But this is not the point, the point is that it raises a reasonable question: how can one and the same people be called both Middle Eastern and Caucasian at the same time!? Are these regions geographically adjacent to each other? No, they are not.
Fine, to hell with those pen-pushers. It would be alright if they only confused themselves, but they also torment the community with incessant whining and stories about their ancient culture. World science has also had enough, it is very tired of the annoying Hay factor. It is too pesky and bothersome.
In their hollow arrogance, they pompously advise against the incorporation of prehistoric narratives into modern life, saying that what was normal in the Dark Ages should not happen in modern times. They condemn torture, slavery, sacrifice and violence, as well as mutilation of people, seizure of neighbor’s territories by the right of the strong, usurpation of power and other vices. This begs the question: didn’t you yourselves cultivate all these horrors in the recent past on Azerbaijani lands, when you barbarously disrupted the normal life of your neighbors? What are we to make of your pretense?!
Are Azerbaijani ghost towns not your handiwork, or are Azerbaijani Hiroshimas not your creations?! And when you weep crocodile tears about the fate of the Armenians of Karabakh, who were allegedly driven out, which was not what really happened, why do you keep silent about the terrible odyssey of 230,000 Azerbaijanis, who were brutally subjected to ethnic cleansing in the early 1990s, leaving them homeless and desperate?
Weren’t you, the kind-hearted and civilized people, the ones who skinned alive an Azerbaijani girl and nailed her to the window frame in Karabakh, in her homeland?! Look who’s talking. Monsters and witch-hunters like Zori Balayan, Serzh Sargsyan, Robert Kocharyan and the like are cavemen from the Stone Age. There is no need to deny that there were no antihuman horrors committed by you, all your crimes have been recorded.
It is true that any nation should know and remember its history, its customs, folklore, should feel a connection with its native land. But if a community claims that they belong to this land and want self-determination, should they raze cities and towns and wipe out their habitat, the way you did in Karabakh?
Learn to live modern narratives and break away from barbarism and savagery. As you call others to do so, don’t forget to start with yourself.
Before you preach, go back to the commandments. You have forgotten to pay tribute to those who played a good role in your destiny. You paid back Azerbaijanis for their hospitality with rank ingratitude, with the horror of the Khojaly genocide and hundreds of barbaric crimes. And now you are pouring buckets of mud and accusations on the Russians, who allegedly turned their backs on you.
Isn’t it time to acknowledge that people always turn away from vandals and perverts, and you have shown yourself as such over the last thirty-odd years. Unpredictable and inadequate people like you cannot go anywhere, not only to Europe. Stay in your own communal apartment, given to you by Azerbaijanis, and chew each other up.
Armenia, with its horrifying savagery and obscurantism, has, alas, chosen not the future, not Europe, but the past, sticking to the traditions of the barbaric era. And this is a serious reason for you to fear your own unpredictable future.
And anyway, high culture and civilization are not your thing.
