On this occasion, representatives from the Ministry of Culture, as well as colleagues of the late actor and director, visited the II Alley of Honorary Burial and laid flowers at his grave.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Culture Murad Guseynov noted that Shahmar Alekberov was not only a great actor and director but also a joyful individual. The characters he created will forever remain in our hearts and in the history of our cinema and art.
Discussing the life and work of the actor, renowned director Jamil Guliyev said, “Today we honor the bright memory of Shahmar Alekberov. He was a great artist, a very positive individual. The light he radiated can be felt even at this event. Shahmar Alekberov made significant contributions to the chronicles of Azerbaijani cinema and the development of Azerbaijani cinema in the 1970s and 1980s. The roles he embodied, the films he made, especially the movie “Gezelkhan”, will forever live and remain in the hearts of the audience. He was also a master of dubbing.”
