He expressed confidence that soon all obstacles to the development of the Middle Corridor would be removed. He noted the necessity to jointly develop infrastructure – ports and railways, adding that the two countries are currently working on the construction of a new port in Georgia.
The prime minister of Georgia added that the planned expansion of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway in a year will also increase the flow of goods along the Middle Corridor.
Now the main goal is to ensure peace and stability in the region, he noted. It is necessary to implement more regional projects and continue to work on them as brothers and neighbors, he said.
The prime minister of Georgia especially noted that this year marks the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
Heydar Aliyev was a great friend of Georgia, he concluded.
