Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will discuss Azerbaijan’s Karabakh with his U.S. counterpart Joe Biden, Presidential Spokesman İbrahim Kalın said in an interview with Milliyet newspaper.
Kalın named the issues that are set to be discussed at a bilateral meeting to be held within the framework of the G-20 leaders’ summit in Rome on Oct. 30-31.
“Issues relating to Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, the Caucasus region and Karabakh will also be discussed, including developments in Libya, the Mediterranean and other regions, as well as other global problems,” Kalin said.
Noting the existence of extensive contacts between Turkey and the U.S, Kalın pointed that the fight against terrorism will also be on the two leaders’ agenda during the summit.
“We have extensive contacts with the U.S. The leaders will discuss the main issues on the agenda in the political, economic, energy, trade areas, in the defense industry, in the areas of security, the fight against terrorism,” Kalın concluded.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan will meet with Joe Biden at the summit to be held on Oct. 30-31 in Rome, according to official sources.
The G20 consists of Germany, the US, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, Indonesia, France, South Africa, South Korea, India, the UK, Italy, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the EU, as well as the IMF and World Bank.
