“We note the passage today of a Russian humanitarian delivery via the Aghdam-Askeran route. It will create a momentum for the resumption of regular deliveries to the local population,” reads the statement.
He also expressed hope that today’s developments will be followed by more concrete steps in the coming days and weeks, also regarding the dialogue between Baku and the Armenians living in Karabakh, reconciliation efforts and the overall Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process.
The statement notes that the president of the European Council continues to maintain contacts with the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia; he also spoke with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of the G20 summit in New Delhi on September 10.
