The Shah Deniz field, one of the world’s largest gas-condensate fields, plays a critical role in Azerbaijan’s energy exports. The field has an estimated 1 trillion cubic meters of gas reserves and has been a critical supplier to Europe and Turkiye. BP’s operations in Shah Deniz, including the Bravo platform, remain partially operational, ensuring the continuity of exports to minimize disruptions. Gas exports from Shah Deniz began in 2006, expanding to European markets by 2020.
