This was stated by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken during a trilateral meeting with the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia, as reported by Azertac.
He noted that Azerbaijan and Armenia have made significant progress towards sustainable and meaningful peace negotiations, which create great opportunities for the relations between the two countries, the region, and the United States.
“The U.S., together with the European Union and other partners, has supported this process. Today’s meeting is an opportunity to review the progress achieved. Based on all contacts, including discussions in recent weeks, I believe that the parties are close to reaching a peace agreement, which the U.S. also strongly supports. Today, we have gathered to discuss what the U.S. can do to facilitate the agreement,” said A. Blinken.
