Starting on November 4, Azerbaijan is launching the international TV channel AnewZ, offering viewers an alternative perspective on global news and analysis. The channel’s executive director, renowned journalist Rufat Gamzaev, announced that AnewZ will broadcast 24/7 from Baku to audiences worldwide, bringing the voices of the Caucasus, Central Asia, and the Middle East—regions often underrepresented on leading global media platforms.
Rufat Gamzaev, who served as Deputy Chairman of AzTV from February 2020 to July 2024, emphasized that the channel will provide a fresh and unique take on current global events.
Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, congratulated the AnewZ team on his social media account: “I wish @Anewz_tv team all the success in their endeavors to provide alternative perspectives, source of news and information on global affairs with regional focus.
