Between 7:30 and 11:40 p.m. on September 23, units of the Armenian Armed Forces fired at the positions of the Azerbaijani Army near the villages of Upper Shorja and Jermuk of Basarkechar District, and in the area of the villages of Istisu and Zeylik of Kalbajar District.
Members of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces Amanullayev Rashad Aghajan oglu, Ragimzade Ruhid Oktay oglu and Javadov Ravan Shamsaddin oglu were wounded as a result of the attack.
The wounded military personnel were immediately given medical treatment. Their lives are not in danger.
The units of the Azerbaijani Army deployed in the said areas took adequate retaliatory measures.
“We state that all the responsibility for the incident lies with the military and political leadership of Armenia, as it is purposefully trying to destabilize the situation,” says the statement of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.
