“Some warned that the trip might be dangerous or that problems could arise along the way. But, thank God, just as our departure went smoothly, our return also took place in complete peace and security,” Pezeshkian said, as reported by Mehr.
Pezeshkian also spoke about his interactions in Azerbaijan. Upon arrival in Baku, he held what he described as a very constructive meeting with the Prime Minister of Pakistan. He also noted his meeting with the President of Tajikistan, emphasizing that the latter speaks fluent Persian.
The Iranian President further mentioned bilateral talks with the Presidents of Türkiye and Azerbaijan. He stated that his discussion with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was held in a constructive atmosphere and covered both economic issues and the topic of Israeli aggression. According to Pezeshkian, the Turkish President openly condemned Tel Aviv’s actions, and both sides held consultations on possible diplomatic responses.
As for his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Pezeshkian described it as positive and friendly. The two leaders reached meaningful agreements on economic and regional cooperation. He emphasized that such visits create opportunities to deepen ties with Islamic countries and urged Iranian officials to be more active in scientific, transport, cultural, and technical fields. In his view, cooperation should not be limited to top-level leadership; deputy ministers and ministers themselves must follow through on the agreements reached.
In conclusion, Pezeshkian expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to organizing the trip—from high-ranking officials to technical staff and the media representatives who accompanied him.
