The report, prepared by the Committee on Political Affairs, Human Rights, and Democracy, addressed issues of regional security. Following Azerbaijan’s proposal, the majority voted to approve amendments to the report.
Specifically, phrases such as “frozen Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,” “reference to the Alma-Ata Declaration in defining the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” and “peace negotiations should only be conducted with Brussels mediation” were excluded from the document.
Instead, the report reflected calls for support of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and adherence to the norms of international law.
