After the anti-terrorist measures, France and other countries showed absolutely double standards towards Azerbaijan, the Chairman of the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center), Farid Shafiyev, said at the press conference on the results of the center’s activity in 2023, Report informs.
“France is waging a diplomatic war against Azerbaijan. For the first time, a proposal was made against Azerbaijan within the framework of the UN Security Council and it failed. According to the information I have, they want to raise this issue again in autumn, October-November,” he added.
The head of the center said that some French politicians do not support the position of the French leadership regarding Azerbaijan: “If this happens, there will be no positive progress in relations with France. However, relations between Azerbaijan and the West are important for both sides. But there are red lines, everyone should understand that territorial integrity and sovereignty can never be a subject of compromise for Azerbaijan. We have economic relations with France, but it is France that creates tension at the political and diplomatic level. We are also worried about the military cooperation between this country and Armenia. If Armenia is arming itself, who is it against?!”
