The head of the Armenian government tried to engage in a verbal confrontation with the Azerbaijani president, but after delivering “fiery speeches”—the worst example of the art of rhetoric—he once again became the target of numerous sarcastic messages from Russia, Azerbaijan and, indeed, his own country.
Pashinyan was embraced by strangers and became alienated by his own citizens, because, according to the Armenian opposition members, he failed to find arguments and lost the logical consistency of his vague thought against the iron-clad argument of Ilham Aliyev, who pointed to his vis-a-vis’s “recent misstep”: official Yerevan had recognized the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. Pashinyan will not have the time to withdraw his signature…
The Armenian Prime Minister resorted to petty revenge, carrying out a new vile affair to experience the triumph of victory in a new local fight with the Azerbaijani troops. At home, Pashinyan is trying to fend off accusations, to strengthen his position in the parliament and in the streets, undermining the emerging prospect for signing a peace treaty in Chisinau.
Armenia’s real goal is to drag out the peace talks for decades, undermining the peace aspirations of the international community and the Azerbaijani government.
How did the new military venture turn out for Armenia and for Pashinyan personally? Were they planning to carry out terrorist attacks in Azerbaijani cities? We will find out soon enough…
