Although, judging by the Iranian media’s eloquent coverage of the meeting, Amir-Abdollahian advised the ambassador to strengthen the bridges of trust with Baku. Either Mousavi misunderstood his boss, or the Iranian official media indulged in some wishful thinking. But with his very undiplomatic statement Mousavi literally blew up the remaining bridges of trust between the two neighboring countries.
The Iranian ambassador began with good neighborliness, which ends, according to him, where the neighbor’s cooperation with the “global evil” begins. And, as we know, there is one evil across all times and all nations for Iran: the Jewish state. In this case, Mousavi believes, the neighboring country turns into a battlefield with Israel. Yet another religious-magical hoax for the mass consciousness. The current ruling clique cannot do it any other way. They have a different calendar and a different temporal space. Khamenei and his camarilla are stuck between Shah Tahmasp and Shah Abbas. An incorrigible new Middle Ages!
Tehran, the ambassador says, does not entirely like Israel’s presence in Azerbaijan. The question is: by what right do men in medieval turbans with silver rings and sharp long fingernails on their pinkies trample the sovereign right of their neighbor? What does Iran care with whom and at what level their neighbor establishes state-to-state relations?
But Mousavi went so far as to disclose the content of closed-door talks with the leaders of “friendly Azerbaijan”. “We have clearly warned about the consequences of the presence and influence of the Zionist regime in the form of economic and cultural cooperation, and we have said that the Zionist regime will never be a friend of Muslim states and nations,” the ambassador stated angrily, and all major Armenian media happily quoted him.
Meanwhile, the warning that Azerbaijani officials made over and over again in meetings with Iranian leaders has slipped the ambassador’s mind. Azerbaijan has repeatedly warned Iran about Iran’s presence and influence in the form of economic and cultural cooperation with Armenia, and we have said that Armenia, who desecrated Shiite mosques and shrines in Karabakh, cannot become a friend of Iran, a country that still somehow calls itself an Islamic state, claiming to be a kind of Shiite Vatican.
What is Iran doing? It is still serving as an oxygen bag for the neo-revanshist Yerevan, expanding economic and energy cooperation, supplying oil, gas and now drones, acting as a political guarantor of Armenia’s inviolability, while the latter has been pursuing a policy of ethnocide against Iran’s brothers in faith, the Caucasian Shiites, for 30 years.
Mousavi, like all the other foxes of Iranian diplomacy, juggles the “Palestinian issue”, neglecting to mention the position of Azerbaijan, who established a diplomatic mission in Ramallah. Moreover, a few days ago Azerbaijan clearly stated its position on the Palestinian issue by voting in favor of the UN General Assembly resolution calling on The Hague Tribunal to give a clear legal assessment of Israel’s policy in the Palestinian territories.
Iran’s top priority today should be pulling its own people out of the ongoing political and economic crisis. The revolution is not subsiding, and the repressive policy of grotesque unhinged mullahs is having the opposite effect: a permanent public frenzy has engulfed this Allah-forsaken country, as it faces an unprecedented socio-economic collapse.
The theocratic government is literally drowning in a quagmire of colossal national problems. But what are the Tehran retrogrades doing? They rattle their dilapidated weapons and send their ancient tanks to clatter on the border with Azerbaijan, putting on stage comical medieval characters with sleazy tricks. Oh, and they also let loose paper tigers like Ambassadors Mousavi, mouth-breathers with ultimatums.
In conclusion, Mousavi also made sure to shake his fists at Baku and Jerusalem, saying they would regret their actions. Civilized and mutually beneficial diplomatic relations of the new millennium are, in the ambassador’s sick imagination, “not the right way”. After all, Iran, like true Zionists, believes that Israel must be destroyed before the coming of the Messiah. And this is not the path Azerbaijan will share with either Iran or the Zionists. Baku is for creation, not for destruction.
It seems Ambassador Mousavi should consult with his minister again…
